Meet Our Team-
Emily- has worked in our office for over 18 years. Emily started as a chair side dental assistant and is now the current Office Manager. Over the course of 18 years, she has taken time out to have three very well mannered kids with her husband Kurtis. During her free time she loves to be outdoors and active with her husband, her 3 children, and their dog.
Amanda- has been Dr. Showers sidekick for just over 5 years. Amanda and her husband are expecting their second child in February 2020. During her free time she loves spending time with her family and their 2 dogs.
About Dr. Paul Showers- Dr. Paul Showers has established a specialty practice on a foundation of providing the safest and most effective scientifically tested methods and materials. He has collaborated with general dentists and specialists for over twenty years to provide timely, comfortable, and sound care. The many dentists, their families, and staff he has treated for over 25 years in his Libertyville office are testament to his reputation as capable and caring.
Dr. Showers has a Bachelor’s degree from Kalamazoo College, and both a DDS and MS in Endodontics from the University of Michigan. He practiced general dentistry for six years in Monroe, Allen Park, and Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was an Associate Clinical Professor of Endodontics for three years at the University of Michigan.
After passing board exams in endodontics in both Michigan and Illinois Dr. Showers practiced endodontics in Palos Heights for two years before opening his office in Libertyville. He is committed to collaboration with referring doctors and is licensed to provide Continuing Education in Dentistry in Illinois. He is a past president of the Central Lake County Dental Study Club for eight years, member of the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontics.
Dr. Showers was an NCAA All American in tennis, a long time ago. He still enjoys playing tennis and golf with his daughter London. London won a regional math contest in the fifth grade and was soon advanced from fifth to seventh grade. Dr. Showers latest passion is stewarding in Wilmot Woods, Libertyville for the Lake County Forest Preserves, trying to find and protect rare flora and fauna.
