There is a lot of hoopla out there about supposed advantages of some types of metal for cleaning the root canals. Some of the latest instruments are clearly more likely to break and remain in the canals during root canal procedures. We don’t take risks when we clean root canals, we don’t use instruments that have an increased likelihood for breakage.

If ANY instrument breaks during treatment in my office and can’t be removed simply, the root canal is free.
